Maple.Community Terms of Service

These terms apply when you visit or use Maple.Community. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Maple.Community is an unofficial community site for MapleStory Classic World players. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nexon or Discord.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be old enough to use Discord in your country and legally able to agree to these terms. If you cannot agree on your own, you may use the site only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Interactive features use your Discord account. You are responsible for activity through your signed-in session and for keeping your account secure. Do not share access, impersonate another person, or provide misleading account information.
Maple.Community is available to an international audience. You are responsible for following the laws and platform rules that apply to you.
Using the site
Use Maple.Community in good faith and for its intended community purposes. You must also follow the rules of Discord, Nexon, MapleStory, and the MapleStory Classic World community where they apply.
Do not use the site to:
- break the law or another platform's rules;
- harass, threaten, exploit, or target another person;
- post hateful, sexually exploitative, violent, or seriously harmful content;
- share another person's private information without permission;
- impersonate someone, scam users, or misrepresent an item or transaction;
- manipulate bids, votes, fame, rankings, prices, or market history;
- infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy, or other rights;
- send spam, malicious links, malware, or unwanted promotions;
- interfere with the site, its security, or another user's access;
- use bots, scrapers, or automated access without permission, except for normal search engine indexing; or
- avoid or help someone avoid a restriction or moderation action.
Listings, auctions, and trades
Maple.Community helps players share listings and arrange in-game trades. It is not a payment service, escrow service, broker, or party to any transaction. It does not hold game items, mesos, accounts, or real money.
Listings, bids, buyouts, item details, and prices must be genuine and accurate to the best of your knowledge. Do not make an offer or bid that you do not intend to honor.
You are responsible for checking the other user, item, stats, quantity, price, and trade terms. Maple.Community does not guarantee that a user owns an item, can complete a trade, or has described an item correctly.
Do not use the site for real money trading, account sales, fraud, or transactions that break game or platform rules.
Fame, comments, prices, averages, graphs, and sale history are community information, not guarantees of reputation, value, or a successful trade. Disputes are primarily between the users involved. Administrators may review site activity or take moderation action, but they are not responsible for recovering items or mesos, reversing in-game actions, or compensating users.
Your content
You keep any rights you have in content you submit. You give Maple.Community a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, format, display, and share that content as needed to operate and moderate the site. This includes publishing relevant content through the Maple.Community Discord bot and creating link previews.
You confirm that you have the right to submit your content and allow this use. You are responsible for what you submit.
Public content may be seen, copied, quoted, or shared by others. Removing content or deleting an account may not remove copies already published to Discord, included in replies, kept in backups, or retained for moderation, security, disputes, or legal requirements.
Moderation
Administrators and moderators may review reports and site activity. They may hide or remove content, remove bids or comments, close listings or auctions, change feature permissions, revoke roles, suspend access, or take other reasonable action to protect users and the service.
Moderation may consider related activity in the MapleStory Classic World Discord community when it affects the site or its users. Serious conduct may be reported to a platform provider or law enforcement where appropriate.
Intellectual property and third-party services
MapleStory names, characters, artwork, item images, and other game material belong to Nexon and its licensors. Discord names, marks, and services belong to Discord and its licensors. Their appearance on the site does not mean they sponsor or endorse Maple.Community.
You may also be subject to the terms and policies of Discord, Nexon, hosting providers, and other services used by the site. Maple.Community is not responsible for third-party services, links, outages, decisions, or content.
Except for user content and third-party material, the site's original branding, design, software, and compiled content belong to the Maple.Community operators or their licensors.
Privacy
The Maple.Community Privacy Policy explains what personal information the site uses and keeps.
Availability and disclaimers
Maple.Community is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available, secure, accurate, complete, or free from errors.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service. User content represents the user who submitted it and does not represent Maple.Community, Nexon, or Discord.
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, Maple.Community and its administrators are not responsible for another user's conduct, inaccurate content, failed or disputed trades, lost items or mesos, in-game actions, lost data, or third-party services. They are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the site.
Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited under the laws that apply to you.
Ending access
You may stop using the site at any time. Maple.Community may restrict or end your access if you break these terms, harm the community, interfere with the service, or create legal or security risk.
Terms about existing content, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, disputes, and retained records continue where needed after access ends.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the site, community, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated. By continuing to use the site after updated terms take effect, you agree to the updated terms.
