MapleStory Classic World Founders Early Access: How to Download
Maplestory Classic World is almost upon us, with Founders Early Access beginning on October 6th (For some players, this may be on October 7th). (Founder’s Access for MapleStory Classic World begins on October 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM PDT / 2:00 PM EDT / 8:00 PM CEST.)
If you're wondering where to download the game or whether you should use the Nexon Launcher or Steam, here's everything you need to know before launch.
Nexon Launcher
Download and install the Nexon Launcher, then sign into the Nexon account associated with your MapleStory Classic World Founder’s Access purchase.
However, there's an important detail to keep in mind: the Classic World client won't be available to download until Founder’s Access begins.
Once early access goes live, open the Nexon Launcher and head to your MapleStory library. From there, you should be able to select the Classic World option and begin downloading the game.
This is likely the simplest option if you're specifically interested in playing Classic World and want to avoid downloading unnecessary game files.
Steam
Rather than having a separate Classic World download, MapleStory and Classic World are packaged together through the Steam version. Players will be required to install the full MapleStory content through Steam ahead of the Founder’s Access launch.
The Steam installation is larger than the standalone Classic World client available through the Nexon Launcher, so players with limited storage space may want to take that into consideration.
Which one is best?
The Nexon Launcher is the better choice if you only want Classic World and want to keep the installation smaller. Steam, on the other hand, may be more convenient for players who already keep their games in one Steam library.
