Welcome to Maple.Community

Maple.Community is an unofficial community project created by the Classic Community Discord Team. The idea behind it is pretty simple, to give Classic players a community site with useful tools all in one place. Things like a Free Market, Auctions, Polls, Guilds and a Forum.

Most of the site can be browsed without an account. When you want to post, vote, trade or get involved with the community, you can sign in using Discord.

Your community home page

The home page is probably the easiest place to start and see what's going on around the community.

You'll find community news and updates there, along with the current featured poll, recent auctions and some of the latest Free Market stores. It's basically a quick snapshot of what's happening without needing to jump between every part of the site.

Free Market

The Free Market is our attempt at bringing player stores outside of MapleStory and making them a bit easier to browse.

You can open a store and see everything the player has listed, including quantities, prices, their store description and seller details. If you find something you're interested in, you can contact the seller through Discord rather than sitting around in one channel hoping they're online.

Once signed in, you can create and manage one open store at a time. Update it as things sell, add new stock when you need to, then close it once you're done trading.

Free Market activity also connects with the Classic Community Discord, so the site and Discord can work alongside each other rather than being two completely seperate things.

Auctions

The Auctions section gives players somewhere to properly list items for auction instead of trying to keep track of bids through Discord messages.

Each auction shows the current bid, closing time, bid history and the item being sold. You can browse through active auctions, search for something specific or use the filters to narrow things down.

Signed in users can bid and join the discussion underneath an auction, while sellers can create and manage their own listings.

There's also a fame system connected to auction trading. After certain trades, players can leave positive or negative fame which builds up a visible trading history over time.

There are some restrictions around when fame can be given, mostly to stop it turning into a popularity button. The goal isn't to guarantee that every trade will go perfectly, but hopefully give you a little more information about the person you're trading with before you hand over your mesos.

A place to talk, vote, and share

Community Postsis the forum side of the site, where people can ask questions, write guides, start discussions or just post something they think the community might find interesting.

Posts are split into categories and can be searched, sorted, voted on and replied to. Popular discussions may stick around for a while, while newer posts still get a chance to be seen.

The Polling page is another way for the community to have a say on things. Polls can cover anything from game changes and community opinions to questions we just think would be interesting to ask.

Active polls show the available options and current results, and signed in members can cast their vote. The current featured poll also gets shown on the home page.

Guilds

The Guilds page is there to make finding a guild a little easier.

You can search guilds by their name or description, then narrow things down by guild type, region, preferred language and whether they're currently recruiting.

Every guild gets its own profile where they can show their emblem, motto, description, members and recruitment information.

If a guild is recruiting, signed in users can send an application directly through the site. Guild members also get access to their own guild room, giving them somewhere to create threads and have guild conversations without everything needing to happen publicly.

Profiles

Every signed in member also has a public profile.

Profiles bring together things like comments, recent activity and fame history. It's another small way of making the site feel more like an actual community rather than just a collection of tools.

Over time you'll be able to recognise people you've traded with, talked to in posts or seen around the site, and get a better idea of their contributions to the community.

Discord intergration

Maple.Community is made to support the Classic Community Discord, not replace it.

Discord is still where a lot of the day to day community activity happens. The website gives us somewhere better suited for things that Discord isn't particularly great at, like searchable market listings, auctions, long-running discussions, guild profiles and polls.

Where it makes sense, the two will connect with each other.

Maple.Community is also still being worked on and will continue to change as people use it. We'd rather build features that players actually find useful than add things just for the sake of having them.

If you have feedback, ideas, or something just feels a bit off, let us know.

Welcome to Maple.Community. We're glad you're here.
